The University of Pennsylvania has reached an extended agreement with
Siemens to disseminate arterial spin labeling (ASL) pulse sequences.
Currently, we are providing both pulsed
and continuous ASL sequences.
The pulsed ASL sequences can be run at 1.5, 3.0 and 4.0T with
array coil and parallel imaging. The continuous ASL sequence
currently can be run at 3.0 and 4.0T with Transmit/Receive coil
(and custom built detunable transmit coil with array receiver).
We provide IDEA versions VA21, 23, 25 and VB11, 12, 13. The sequences
were written by Jiongjiong
Wang, Ph.D. and has been described
in several publications. In order to receive the code, you must
have a research agreement with Siemens and runs the IDEA platform
for sequence programming and compiling. The proper installation
and implementation of the sequences require understanding of
the underlying concept of ASL as well as the adjustment of several
parameters. As a research tool, no formal support is provided
at present.

If
you want to get a copy of the ASL sequence, please fill out this form.
The procedure is that the technology transfer center at the University
of Pennsylvania will send you a package of documents
to sign (including the extended agreement with Siemens and a material
transfer agreement). Once you sign and send them back, the technology
transfer center at the University of Pennsylvania will sign and
send them to Siemens. We will send you the code after these processes.
The paperwork is to protect University of Pennsylvania’s
intellectual property over ASL, IDEA of Siemens and any potential
adverse events. |
